FOR LIVERPOOL £35M CLUB-RECORD SIGNING HELD TALKS WITH LEAGUE ONE CLUB

Ex-Liverpool, Newcastle United and West Ham United striker Andy Carroll had the option to join Bristol Rovers before re-signing for Reading. Former Liverpool club-record signing Andy Carroll held discussions with League One side Bristol Rovers earlier this month. Gas boss Joey Barton admitted that he tried to prise Carroll to the Memorial Stadium before the striker opted to return to Reading. Carroll spent the first half of last season at Reading before joining West Brom in January – but was released in June.


He was then a free agent throughout the summer transfer window. In January 2011, Liverpool paid a then-record transfer fee of £35 million to sign the centre-forward from Newcastle. However, 11 years later, he had the option to drop down to the third tier with Rovers. But he chose to move back to Championship side Reading. Read more »

ANDY CARROLL RETURNS FOR WEST HAM

West Ham striker Andy Carrroll is set to make a return to the team.


The head of medical services for the club Gary Lewin says the forward should feature likely from the bench on Monday night football as the Hammers play Huddersfield.

Coach SlavenBilic should be relieved to hear the news, considering the fitness crises that the club has suffered in the last two seasons. The England international should help the club with its goalscoring problems as he returns.

Bilic is under serious pressure to get wins else risk being sacked. He has expended huge funds in player transfers but the club has performed poorly in the last year and half. The Croatian manager would run out of excuses to give when the team plays their first home game at the London stadium this season. Read more »

ANDY CARROLL TO RETURN FOR LONDON DERBY

West Ham United are set to host Tottenham Hotspur in a major game this weekend.


The block buster match could seal off Spurs hopes of lifting the Premier League this season as there are few games left and leaders Chelsea are four points ahead.

Spurs would be seeking their tenth win in a row at the London Stadium while Slaven Bilic and his men would be seeking revengeafter losing at White Hart Lane in the first leg. The Hammers were ahead when they met in November. They were set to pick all three points and a crucial away victory until Harry Kane changed the story as he scored two late goals to upturn the result 3-2.

The co-Chair of West Ham David Gold has hinted at a return of Andy Carroll for the game against Spurs. West Ham have had it bad with injuries this season and it has reflected on their achievements. Carroll could provide a boost as the season winds down. Read more »

ANTONIO NOT SURE OF NEW DEAL AT WEST HAM

West Ham forward Michail Antonio is not sure if he would agree to new terms at the club despite his impressive stats since joining the Premier League side.


The player joined from Nottingham Forest for £7 million in the summer of 2015.

He was rewarded with a better four-year package last July but there have been recent reports linking the player with a move from the Hammers this summer. League leaders Chelsea seem to want the player but West Ham want him to keep contributing to their success.

Antonio has scored eight goals this term and he has had an overall decent season. Sky Sports claim that if the player continues his decent run through the second half of this season, West Ham would offer him a fresh deal to kill any competition. Read more »

WEST HAM FLOP ZAZA TO RETURN HOME

On loan West Ham striker Simone Zaza has confirmed he would be returning to Juventus next month.


The Italian joined Hammers last summer but failed miserably in convincing head coach Slaven Bilic that he could be of help as the east London Club battle to escape the clutches of the relegation zone.

According to his agent Vincenzo Morabito, Zaza “will definitely go back to Juve, because West Ham do not want to keep him. He could well stay in Turin, given that Juventus might need another striker. If not there are plenty of options”

And speaking of options,Napoli and La Liga side Valencia has been reported tohave interest in the 25-year-old but find it hard to keep up with the former Sampdoria man’s wage bills. As pointed out by Valencia sporting director, Jesus Garcia Pitarch; “The biggest challenge is that the salary that he has at West Ham is absolutely exorbitant. But that could be negotiated. I don’t know what the coach thinks about this but if we could reduce his wages, he is a player that we can evaluate.” Read more »

BILIC LOOKS FORWARD TO CARROLL’S RETURN

The boss man at the West Ham football club has admitted his love for Andy Carroll and looks forward to his return from injury.


Bilic is optimistic of what the England’s forward can do when not in the treatment room and believes that he would be back soon.

Andy Carroll’s career growth has been stunted by series of injuries thus disrupting his playing time with the Hammers. The laid up schedule by doctors expect that the forward would be out of treatment latest by November 19. This means he might be ready just in time for West Ham’s visit to strong rivals, Tottenham.

The desperate Bilic seriously hopes that Carroll is up and available soon enough, at least in three weeks on the pitch to ensure that their revival keeps up the gathering momentum.
“I have a lot of feelings for Andy. I don’t hide it. I love Andy Carroll. Every time he has started or come off of the bench, he has been brilliant for us. It’s virtually impossible to mark him in the box and even outside the box he is brilliant also.”Bilic had said.
