BRUCE REVEALS INJURY UPDATE ON THREE PLAYERS

Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce has delivered a fresh injury report on three of his players, with the likes of Federico Fernandez, Ryan Fraser, and Andy Carroll being mentioned. The manager was questioned on why the three stars have all been missing from the squad recently, and he did well to hand their fitness reports out to journalists.

The three players have all been missing in action earlier in the month when they played out a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur. The Tyneside were at their footballing best as they held off a dangerous José Mourinho Tottenham side and they had to earn the draw after a remarkable performance. However, the three key players have not all returned to the squad since then, with concerns immediately directed to the fact that the season is coming to an end and they would be needing all their players to be fully fit.

Speaking in response to the question he was asked, Bruce simply said that every player that is currently not involved in the squad is out injured. He was also asked about the fitness of current top score Callum Wilson, who, despite having been very impressive this season so far, has still not been able to feature in all the club’s fixtures.

About Callum Wilson, Bruce refused to give a direct answer and instead requested for the next question to be asked. His reaction raised concerns about the long-term future of Wilson at Newcastle, and the striker has already previously been linked with an exit from St. James’ Park.

The manager revealed that Andy Carroll was out with a calf problem, Fraser out injured with a groin injury, and Federico Fernandez still out with his calf injury as well. He, however, admitted that he would love to get all his players back fully fit before the end of the season.
