Carroll is strangely enigmatic even when he’s not scoring and he does have talents that Welbeck and Sturridge can’t match, at his best he has the potential to be a real talisman for England in a way Welbeck and Sturridge will never be, the only problem at the moment is the only system he fits into is a 4-4-2 which is on the way out, because if Rooney’s fit Rooney will be selected over him and he can’t play as a winger

This guy has great potential. I was delighted the day we signed him because I really wanted LFC to sign him when he was at the toon and I’m still delighted we have him. Hope BR has him in his plans, there is nothing wrong with having a big man upfront
brendan rodgers has to give him a chance so he can show his best next season, i hope carroll does not drink any more and concentrates on his career at anfield YNWA
Thats the potential he has. People don’t see it that way though. But he didn’t seem to mind towards the end of the season, he was fantastic, and I hope he carries that on in the Euros and next season
