CARROLL WILL REPAY FANS

Liverpool striker Andy Carroll has said that he will be looking to repay the faith of Liverpool supporters in the future. Andy Carroll arrived from Newcastle United back in the last January transfer window.

He was thought to be the replacement for Fernando Torres, who went to Chelsea for £ 50 million. Due to the huge profits they made from Fernando Torres, Liverpool decided to spend a lot of money on Andy Carroll. It seems to have worked in the opposite way because it has put the young England international under enormous pressure to deliver. Andy Carroll arrived in a £ 35 million deal from Newcastle United.

Since then, both Fernando Torres and Andy Carroll have not been performing for their respective clubs. Luis Suarez, who also arrived at Liverpool during the same time, has been magnificent. Many consider that it is also one of the reasons for Andy Carroll’s performances for Liverpool. So far, Andy Carroll has scored only six goals in 33 matches for Liverpool, but the striker reckons that he will be some finding his top form, which made him one of the most feared strikers in England. It is also essential for him to get back into the England fold as well.

“The supporters have been brilliant to me ever since I came here and it was great to hit the back of the net (against Oldham). Hopefully I can now go on a goalscoring run. The objective is qualifying for the Champions League and we are up there and still in with a great chance of achieving that aim,” said Carroll. One cannot do to the fact that strikers rely on confidence more than anything else. It is something that seems to have deserted Andy Carroll, but the striker hopes to have it soon in his mind.
